Who Am I?

I am M. Majora.

My dream is to live in a Dubai where free speech is protected, on and off the internet.

I believe in free speech to the fullest extent, and harshly condemn countries that attempt to regulate what people should see and say.

What cowards we are faced with! Too scared to admit their government's flaws!

Together, we must rise up for a better world with more freedoms.

Much love to you all

Dubai's Internet Censorship

:|

Alright, so, from what I've gathered, censorship of the internet in the UAE is pretty bad.

What bothers me, though, is the lack of action being taken by people on the internet to fight to have a free internet.

I find that, in my opinion, the restrictions are only in place because Dubai doesn't want criticism...

That much, most people gather and understand.

But
why? Under the guise of "its content being inconsistent with the religious, cultural, political, and moral values of the United Arab Emirates"

...

What morals?

Dubai in particular prides itself as being a fast-growing city that attracts international tourism, yet fails to see its own flaws.

There are lots of hoes there in Dubai, yet somehow it appears that Etisalat thinks that getting some, not only out of wedlock, but from a hooker, is not as bad as seeing an artistically nude painting.

Or, in the more common case, porn.

Seriously, Etisalat?

It's not the end of the world.

Jesus Christ, I don't think they realise that the married men in their country are lusting after women!

Perhaps, maybe, the people of Etisalat are actually whore-hiring horny old men who don't want to appear too immoral, so instead of working with the government to curb prostitution, they decide to do the irrational thing and take out porn.

Do they not realise that they are doing something completely stupid?

Do they not realise that , instead of tackling prostitution, which carries the threat of STD's and such, they tackle a safer alternative to getting some from a diseased whore.

Seriously. Get with the rest of the world and get a fucking grip.

And then, they don't let anyone criticise their government... I can understand if you're threatening the government, but merely criticising it is not grounds for a country-wide banning.

Much love to you all
